Lyttelton
General information
The port town of Lyttelton is just a 15 minute drive from Christchurch through one of New Zealand's longest road tunnels. It acts not only as a central figure for Christchurch's imports and exports but also as a link to nearby locations such as Governor’s Bay, Charteris Bay and Diamond Harbour.
Lyttelton has a rich history with many beautiful old buildings remaining and lots of other reminders of its earlier years. It is now a buzzing area of work and development, with beautiful houses set on the steep streets and plenty of vibrant cafes and bars to experience.
